May 1st is celebrated in many countries. However, people have different routins in each country. Also, in some countries people celebrate the arrival of spring and in other countries people commemorate the theath of people.
In Britain , people celebrate May Day in honour of Flora, the goddes of flowers and spring. Many people in costumes do Morris dancing with bells and hadkerchiefs. Also, the most beautiful woman became the queen of May.
In Argetina, May Day is celebrated to commemorate the death of people who were fighting for their jobs. In Argentina and in other countries people don't work because of this commemoration. Sometimes, people meet with friends or relatives to have a lunch or a dinner.
In concusion, May Day is celebrated in all the world but is not the same in each country. In some countries May Day is a festivity, in others is a commemoration and people celebrate this in diferent ways.
